“HOW THE TITHE HONORS JESUS!”

Hebrews 7:8 “Here mortal men receive tithes, but there He receives them, of whom it is witnessed that He lives.” Jesus is our New Covenant High Priest & has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ & those blessings are designed to be released from the spirit realm & manifest in this natural realm through an act of our faith. “KEEP STANDING!”

Hebrews 11:6 AMP “But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” This verse compels me to ask the question, “What if I don't see anything changing in my situation by having faith in God?” Then we are instructed in scripture to… KEEP SAYING WHAT GOD SAYS! “DIVISION HURTS!”

Romans 16:17 “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.” To start with, it sounds like some tough words from the Apostle Paul. But what we need to understand is that satan hates Jesus and His church; the body of Christ in the earth today. And we know satan will even make every attempt to divide God’s people by using every possible lie that he can. What satan hates is the presence of community and harmony among God’s people. “WHEN WE ALL PULL TOGETHER!”

Ephesians 4:16 NLT “Under His direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Do you remember that little song we sang as Children, which said, “When We All Pull Together”? “SET FREE BY A WORD FROM GOD!”

Matthew 8:16 “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” Often a word from God can start you on your journey to freedom from addictions or destructive habits. Anything you are addicted to can become a god and contaminate your thoughts, bringing confusion to your mind. [To read this devotion, click link]

“ABRAHAM SIMPLY BELIEVED GOD!”

Hebrews 11:8 “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” When it comes to heroes, the greatest will always be Jesus, who loved us and gave His life for us (Ephesians 5:2). But other than Jesus, what is a hero of faith? I believe the description would be something like this: Ordinary men and women, who because of their faith in God, do extraordinary things. “EMPOWERED TO BE ONE!”

John 7:22 “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.” Jesus was expressing in His prayer, His desire for the “glory” of the Father to be upon all those who follow Him. Are you a follower of Jesus today? [To read this devotion, click on link]

“WHEN FAITH SPEAKS!”

Romans 10:6 “But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way…” There is a great controversy among Christians concerning the importance of speaking words as an expression or release of our faith. The Bible tells us that faith speaks in a certain way. Faith does not make statements of doubt and unbelief. Bible-faith will never speak against the Word of God! “WHY SHOULD I TITHE?”

Genesis 14:20 “And he {Abram} gave him {Melchizedek} a tithe of all.” Many modern day believers say, “Tithing was under the law, and we are redeemed from the curse of the law”. This statement is often made while making an attempt to quote Galatians 3:13. Nowhere does this verse say or make reference to Christians being redeemed from “tithing!” [To read this devotion, click link]

“WHO’S BEEN MESSIN’ WITH YOUR HEAD?”

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” The Greek definition for “condemnation” is a compound word from which I interpret as, to put down mentally! Other dictionaries also define “condemnation” to mean, a strongly worded rebuke. [To read this devotion, click link]

“WORRY PRODUCES STRESS!”

Matthew 6:25 “I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” There is a drive present in human nature to worry. I believe that worry is prompted and fed by satan. Yet Jesus tells us three times “do not worry.” [To read this devotion, click link]

“DON’T TAKE A SECOND THOUGHT!”

Hebrews 10:35 “Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Have you ever made a faith-declaration & when it was about time for a manifestation of God’s divine-intervention to show up, you let go & gave up? What you did was—you took a second thought & decided to back out. If God blessed you once—He will bless you again. [To read this devotion, click link]
