Proverbs 15:1 “A
soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” When we
speak to another person in response to a word or comment spoken to us, a soft
answer will not provoke the spirit of wrath. The word “wrath” means, heat; figuratively anger, poison (from its fever):
